We serve modern British food in comfortable and elegant surroundings. Asquiths is situtated opposite the medieval St. Bartholomew’s church in the heart of the historic Town of Lostwithiel.
Chef proprietor Graham Cuthbertson uses the best that local producers have to offer, with flair and imagination, to create dishes with inspired flavour and texture combinations.
The decor is simply black and white with artwork on the walls from Steve Slimm (Penzance, Cornwall) that is both bold and contemplative. The white linen tablecloths give an air of fine dining but we don’t want any diners to be put off by this as we welcome all and first and foremost want our guests to feel comfortable and relaxed.
As well as food and drink sourced locally we have supported local artisanal glass maker Jo Downs, who is based in Launceston, east Cornwall, by having a bespoke handmade mirror and soap arc designed for the ladies’ toilets.
Dinner service is from 7 – 9 pm Tuesday to Saturday.
